ภารกิจการค้นหาเฮลิคอปเตอร์แบล็กฮอว์กที่ประสบอุบัติเหตุขาดการติดต่อไป เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 19 กรกฎาคมที่ผ่านมาสิ้นสุดลง หลังจากมีรายงานเมื่อวานนี้ (22 กรกฎาคม) ว่า พบเฮลิคอปเตอร์แบล็กฮอว์กลำที่ประสบเหตุแล้วในฝั่งพม่าห่างจากชายแดนไทย 300 เมตร และห่างจากจุดที่ ฮ.ฮิวอี้ ลำแรกตกประมาณ 200 เมตร แต่ที่น่าสลดใจก็คือ ผู้โดยสารเฮลิคอปเตอร์ลำดังกล่าวทั้ง 9 ชีวิตเสียชีวิตยกลำ แม้ว่าก่อนหน้านี้ บรรดาญาติพี่น้องผองเพื่อนของทหารทั้ง 8 นาย และช่างภาพสถานีโทรทัศน์ช่อง 5 จะสวดมนต์ภาวนา และขอให้เกิดปาฏิหาริย์ขึ้นกับผู้กล้าทั้ง 9 คนสักครั้ง แต่สุดท้ายก็ไม่เป็นผล
